Generation Series The Magnet Grenache

Mr. Riggs Generation Series The Magnet Grenache is sourced from century old vines that had been destined to be bulldozed before they caught the eye of winemaker Ben Riggs.

These gnarled old Grenache vines are grown at the Dogridge Vineyard in McLaren Vale. They are low yielding, but each grape bunch has a concentrated array of fruit flavours.

The fruit is handpicked. A small portion is added into open fermenters as whole bunches with the remainder crushed on top. The fermenting juice sees a daily program of pump overs, which helps to add complexity.

Deep purple, Mr. Riggs Generation Series The Magnet Grenache has vibrant fruit flavours, earthy notes and an unctuous mouthfeel. Cellaring potential is seven years.
